the last new thing

This is the last thing I bought new.

A white cotton jersey from Dotti. I signed up to their loyalty club online to get 30% off, and then went and bought it for $35.

As soon as I got home with my discount jumper, I promptly unsubscribed from their email list. Why? Because I object to being offered a loyalty card or a sign up sheet in every single clothing store I go to. Why should I agree to have you spam me just to get a discount at your store? It’s a thinly vailed attempt to push me more stuff.

  1. So with you on that one! Some shops have started saying that it is now their policy to ’email receipts instead of giving paper copies at the transaction time’. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness we have some consumer protection that allows us to unsubscribe from things like this.
