National Geographic just did an issue on plastic with this confronting plastic iceberg image by artist Jorge Gamboa on the cover.

Countdown is promising to remove all single use plastic bags by the end of 2018.

The news has started a sewing spree by a Blenheim Hospice shop. They are sewing lovely reusable fabric bags out of recycled material and selling them at their shop. I even noticed some in my local SPCA shop too.
